Awesome Halloween Turn Out!

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

If you weren’t at Iggy’s-SLU for the Halloween weekend bash on Thursday and Friday, then you missed a couple of hellacious parties that featured Sarah Palin, a giant banana, Little Bow Peep, a fire-woman tastefully wearing pasties, a yodeler in his Lederhosen, Cheech & Chong and did we mention Sarah Palin?  And we have the pictures to prove it!  Every person donning a costume received free shots throughout the course of the nights.  As the clock struck midnight, Griffin and the Gargoyles announced the costume winners as voted on by the crowd and received a $50 prize.  A life size penguin that had striking similarities to the infamous “Doobie Doobie Do” penguin won Thursday’s award (evidently the firewomen had to tend to a 3 alarm fire somewhere).   As for Friday’s winner, a scantily clad soldier girl won in an Obama-like landslide and pocketed, or should I say tucked the money away.  If you missed it, don’t worry, there’s always next year when the parties will be even bigger and better with larger cash prizes!  In the meantime, check out all the pictures by clicking on the “Gallery” tab on the homepage at Iggysmex.com.   Happy Dia de los Muertos!
